He is injured with shrapnel from a bombing and subsequently is unable to work.

Issas five children, Hani, Yazen, Shams al-Din, Othman, and Saja dream to experience the joys of a carefree childhood, attending school, playing in the park, and indulging in the simple pleasure of ice cream. Despite the staggering challenges they face, these resilient young souls display a remarkable strength that belies their tender age, bravely maintaining a positive outlook in the face of unimaginable adversity.
