Hello all. Rocky needs an emergency surgery because he has a blockage in his bladder, and unfortunately, there is no way around it. I cannot afford this myself, and would never make one of these things otherwise. I'm 21 months sober, and my cats are one of the main things that have kept me alive, so I need to return the favor for him. Not only would his loss be devastating to me, but to his brother Duke as well. So far, we've been to an emergency vet (8/8/24, from 1am-5am) to get an idea of what's going on and to temporarily unblock him, that's also where they told me this could be anywhere from $3000-$7000. Rocky has now been at a animal hospital up in Conifer since mid day on the 8th. They plan on keeping him for a minimum of 4 days, while he's hooked up to an open catheter, so hopefully these crystals push their way out before they just rush him into surgery. I just spent an hour with him earlier (8/9/24) and he is pretty drugged up, but they say he's doing well. If by chance we recieve more donations than needed, I will turn around and donate the remaining to the hospitals that have helped us out through this terrible time.
