Our beloved Rocko Taco, who is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is facing a serious health challenge and urgently needs life-saving heart surgery. Last year, Rocko was diagnosed with Stage C Mitral Valve Disease, which has unfortunately progressed rapidly. His heart has become significantly enlarged, and he is now in controlled heart failure. Though he's only halfway through his expected life, this condition threatens to cut his time with us short.

Thankfully, there is hope. Japan offers a pioneering mitral valve repair surgery performed by the world’s leading specialist, who has achieved a remarkable 95% success rate over the past decade. I’m part of a group where many people have gotten this surgery for their dogs at a young age and their dogs heart size have gone back down to normal and they lived full, healthy lives into their late teens. This procedure could save Rocko’s life, giving him the chance to continue bringing love and joy for many more years.

We have already invested heavily in tests and evaluations, and we’re relieved to share that Rocko has been approved for this surgery. We’re now preparing to travel to Yokohama, Japan, in January to give him this fighting chance. Rocko is still young, full of energy, and has so much love left to give. He’s the kind of dog who gives the warmest hugs, the sweetest kisses, and loves with his whole heart—we can’t imagine not doing everything possible to save him.
