My name is Gail and here is our story:

My heart is heavy today. Our dog Rocco was hit by a car. The driver slowed down… then took off.

Rocco has a pelvis injury — broken in two places. We were given a few options:

➡️ Let it try to heal on its own (but one of the breaks has a splinter that could puncture his bladder or worse)

➡️ Or go through surgery with a plate and screws to give him the best chance at healing correctly.

We’re going with surgery. It’s the right thing to do — even though it’s going to cost us a whole lot of money. Because at the end of the day, he’s not “just a dog.” He’s family. We chose him, and we’re responsible for him. ❤️ he is also only 9 months old.

Rocco will be staying at the vet hospital for a few nights. Surgery is Wednesday, and if all goes well, he’ll be home by Friday. Please keep our sweet boy in your prayers — we’re believing for healing, strength, and a full recovery.
