This fundraiser is to help Robin Masiewicz, the owner of Flowers for You in Riverside, California. The shop is in a converted house in a residential neighborhood. The grounds of her shop were burned by a fire caused by a transient. The fire burned a 50 foot pine tree, the grounds, bushes, a block wall, a dumpster enclosure, and signage. Thankfully, no one was injured due to the quick actions of neighbors and the fire department.
Robin has operated Flowers for You for over 40 years and has been a fixture in the community. Her warm heart, bubbly laugh, and skill as a designer have endeared her to everyone she comes in contact with. Customers became friends, and friends are treated like family. If you've attended a wedding, funeral, graduation or church service in the area, there's a good chance you've seen her work. She's endured economic hardships due to COVID, theft, vandalism, and now fire. Now in her 60s, she is struggling to manage the upkeep of her building. This fundraiser is to help her repair the damage caused by the fire, which burned a 50 ft pine tree, block wall, planters, and melted her signage. There is also smoke damage. We hope to install additional security to prevent future incidents and clear any remaining trees and vegetation that put the shop at risk. We hope to get the repairs done before Valentine's Day.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.

Ground and plants are completely charred.
Pine tree is badly burned and will need to be removed. Cost of removing just the tree (not roots or other charred plants) is nearly $2,000 and not covered by insurance.
This is a recent photo before the fire for comparison.
