It’s never easy to ask for help, but sometimes it’s necessary!
I’m asking for help for a very dear friend of mine, Rob! Rob lives in Manhattan. Born and raised a New Yorker, his kindness and generosity are the reasons I was able to move to the city and eventually get to my dream location in Florida. When my son Anthony was 18 years old, I took him to NYC for the weekend. He wanted to stay and live there. Rob took him in for 4 years, and because of that kindness, Anthony was able to pursue his dream career!
And by the way, he also took me, my daughter, and granddaughter in for over a year. He gave my family the bedrooms while he slept on the couch.
Over the years, he has sacrificed for so many less fortunate, whether times for him were good or not! Rob never turned anyone away who needed a place to stay or just couldn't afford to pay for a hotel. His kindness and generosity extended beyond providing a home for people. Among other things, he was always there to pay someone's rent or child support who was struggling. He was also a mentor to multiple children who needed one.
Now Rob is himself struggling. He is currently facing eviction from the apartment he has called home and shared with many in need for 30 years. Unless he can raise $30,000 in the next two weeks, he will be homeless. This is not ok!
If you would be so kind as to help me help a friend to so many, and one of the most selfless people that I have ever met, I would greatly appreciate it!
If the hundreds of people who stayed at his apartment donated $200 or those he gave financial assistance to reciprocated his generosity, he would be able to stay in his home.
For those of you that cannot afford that, any contribution you can make will be of help.
The funds will be used for legal services, back rent, and if necessary, relocation expenses. The funds will be treated as gifts and all funds will be sent directly to his attorney.
Thank you for considering a donation, and if you are not able at this time, prayers are welcomed and appreciated! Please pass this on!
