Help us save the baby wading birds of Riverside Park! Currently there are baby birds too young to survive outside the nest (including great egrets, Little Blue Herons, and black-crowned night herons) being found every. single. day by Cindy and Calder Corey (& other concerned residents and volunteers)
The Ark (the only wildlife rehab for birds in NE Fl) is full, and volunteers are catching and caring for these baby wading birds and then driving them to a rehab in Homasassa. If you can donate a few dollars to offset the costs of gas, bird food, & nets, they could sure use your help.
The Duval Audubon Society, the Friends of Riverside Park, and the City of Jacksonville are working together to educate folks and fix the issue for next year's wading bird nestlings, but this year's babys are not so lucky.
