Hello, I am Gregg Sample owner of my rescue German Shephard dog River. He was found lifeless in a river bed. I was called for a 7-10 day foster of him. I gave him up to be adopted over a month later. After four months the local vet contacted me asking if I'd like to adopt River, which I did. Sadly, he was abused in this other adopted home and developed aggressive behavior towards some dogs on leashes. I've made it my goal to rehabilitate him, but life sometimes gets in the way, broken ankles etc.. River unfortunately bit my neighbors two dogs with only minor bites. I took full responsibility. They were not happy and turned me into Animal Control, which prompted a visit from them. The animal control officer said River was most likely taunted by dogs in this other adopted home. River is very sweet and loving, he is a German Shephard with protective qualities, that's the kind of dogs they are. River has never bitten a human that I know of. I was required to obtain an insurance policy then taken court thinking I was being seen for not obtaining the policy. I was never informed it was a hearing on possibly euthanizing River. The neighbors have made it their goal to get River euthanized. I am just asking for time to rehabilitate him. He does not in any way deserve to die seeing as he's not viscous towards humans. Please help if you can. All left over proceeds will be donated to German Shephard rescue in El Dorado County. Thank you so much for you attention and kindness.
