Help Save Riot — My Goofy, Happy Boy ❤️

This is Riot. He’s the goofiest, happiest, most loving dog I’ve ever known — my adventure buddy, my camping and hiking partner, my best friend. I adopted him from the county shelter almost three years ago, and since then, he’s brought nothing but light and laughter into my life. He loves meeting new people, exploring the outdoors, and (of course) eating all the food he can get his paws on.

Right now, Riot is fighting for his life. He has an intestinal blockage and needs emergency surgery to survive. Without it, I’ll lose him — and I can’t go through that again.

Earlier this year, I lost another one of my dogs, Olive, to the same condition. It was sudden, heartbreaking, and completely beyond my control. I haven’t emotionally or financially recovered from that loss, and now I’m facing the same nightmare again.

What happened to Riot couldn’t have been prevented. It’s one of those rare, unpredictable situations that can strike even when you do everything right. The cost of surgery and post-care is far more than I can afford alone.

Riot means everything to me. He’s the dog who makes everyone smile, who leans his whole body into you when he hugs, who reminds me what joy looks like every single day. I just want to give him the chance to live the long, happy life he deserves.
