Help Mary Save Rico with Crucial Knee Surgery

Hi, my name is Jess and on behalf of my neighbor, I'm hoping to raise the funds needed for her dog's knee surgery.

My 70-year-old neighbor Mary has a 6-year-old Bordernese dog named Ricoblio who desperately needs knee surgery after tearing his cruciate ligament in his left knee (the canine equivalent to an ACL tear for humans). Mary is heartbroken to see her four-legged friend in so much pain, and due to being on a fixed income, she needs help gathering the funds for his much-needed TPLO surgery. Rico not only brings Mary companionship and joy, but he also helps her up off the floor when she falls, so it's even more important that Rico gets this surgery so he can continue to help her, both mentally and physically. If Rico doesn't have the surgery, she will have no choice but to put him down because he cannot walk without it bringing him tremendous pain.

Rico is a social butterfly who loves everyone around him and is certain that everyone he meets loves him too. This sweet boy has been a great source of joy in Mary's life for the past 5 years, but before she adopted him, Rico had a rocky start to his life. At 8 months old, Rico was rescued off the streets, with scars on his muzzle from possible wire being wrapped around it and apparent trauma from being kept in a car and being antagonized through the windows. Rico has been a part of Mary's life since he was just an 11-month-old pup and has been shown nothing but kindness, love, and care in the years since his adoption.
