This is Rex. We rescued him in 2021 after he was found starving and emaciated on Beach 109th Street in Rockaway under the L on the dead end by Paul's mechanic shop. We have loved and cared for him ever since, and he is a huge part of our family. Rex is the sweetest and most gentle dog ever, and we are a family of 8, including 4 kids and a new baby who all adore him.

Rex was just diagnosed with diabetes after being lethargic, vomiting, and not eating at all for three days. Currently, he is in ketosis and he needs insulin every hour of the day, as well as monitoring his blood sugar every hour. Right now, he will be at the vet from 9 am-4:30 pm every day being monitored and given insulin because the vet is not open 24 hours. To put him in 24-hour care at an animal hospital would be up to $15,000 per day. We love Rexy so much, and we need help to pay for his insulin and hospital stays. Every penny counts. Thank you.
