Save Red Rock General Store

On May 28, 2021, a tornado swept through the small town of Red Rock, TX, and destroyed the roof of the Red Rock General Store.
The store is a small, family-owned business that has been operating since 1996. The roof was blown completely off of the historic building and into the street, which allowed rainwater from the storm to stream down the walls and into the building. We also completely lost power during the storm. Not only was the roof demolished, but much of the inventory was damaged or destroyed as well due to power loss or water. The funds donated to our cause will help us replace our roof, repair water damage, and restock our inventory.
This disaster happened just a few days before our 25th anniversary of owning and operating Red Rock General Store. We would have been celebrating that this June. Our historic building is well over 100 years old and has seen us through so much over the years.
We aren't ready to give up on her just yet.
Unfortunately, business has been hard over the last few years, especially during 2020 with COVID. In recent years, we were forced to decide to either pay for property insurance or pay our property taxes. We chose to pay the taxes and forgo the insurance for the time being. We've been doing our best to stay afloat and keep serving our community, but with larger, brand-name corporate stores moving in and more competition in the area, it's gotten harder and harder for our small family business to survive.
We love our community and don't want to say goodbye yet. Please help us save our store and keep this little heartbeat going.
