About Puddin’ Meet Puddin’ the adorable Pug. She is only 4 years old and the light of our lives; a tiny bundle of pure love, always eager to make friends with every animal and every human she ever meets. A truly pure little soul.

What is wrong? Puddin’ has developed several health problems over the last few months - seizures, rectal bleeding and severe vomiting which is due to a very large mass discovered around her mesenteric lymph nodes which is meshing her intestines together and stopping her being able to digest any food, she currently cannot eat or pass any stool. Update 21st August: I am currently syringing electrolytes and liquid food into her every hour. 1ml is all she can manage in one go without regurgitating it. As of today, she has not pooed in 8 days and only wee-ing once a day. It is vital to deal with the malnutrition and dehydration she is experiencing but is so difficult with her only being able to manage such a tiny amount. She has gone from a hyperactive little bundle of sparkling energy who spreads joy wherever she goes (the local carehome to see her Nanny with Alzheimer’s being a favourite) to a sad and listless shell of herself, in pain and depressed, unable to even wag her tail. She has lost 1.5lbs (Update 21st August: 2.5lbs) and counting from her tiny frame in the last week (10 days) alone and is fading away in front of us.

Why do we need your help? We do not live in the catchment area for any financial help with vets, I have tried everything I can think of. So far, even with the kindness of our wonderful vet reducing fees as much as they can, I have accumulated over £1,900 (Update 21st August: £2400) of debt in treatment (ultrasound, exploratory operation, biopsy, antibiotics, anti-seizure meds, painkillers, steroids and more) and have nowhere else to turn. As a full time carer to my daughter with a life altering health condition, pet insurance was never a possibility financially and this is now a desperate situation for me to be in. So I have had to swallow my pride and create this fund to ask for help - I finally have no other option and have to try this in an effort to save Puddin’s life; she deserves it SO much and she is everything to me and my daughters.

What is Puddin’s prognosis going forward? We are currently awaiting biopsy results. In the meantime, Puddin’ needs pain relief, antibiotics, anti nausea meds and specialist electrolyte liquid and nutrient dense liquid food. If the biopsy result shows cancer, treatment could include continued meds to make her comfortable, various options for shrinkage of the mass and chemotherapy. If cancer is not detected, treatment could include continued meds to make her comfortable, antibiotics and anti inflammatories in the hope of shrinking the mass and possible referral to a specialist to consider if the mass could be removed. Without any of this current and ongoing treatment, which is all completely out of my reach financially, Puddin’ will die. She deserves a chance at life, she has brought so much joy to so many in her four years, we simply cannot give up on her.

Where will my donation go? Any funds raised will go directly to our vet for ongoing treatment and clearing the debt I have accrued in the treatment already paid for. I would be more than happy to share our vets details if anyone would prefer to donate directly to them.

If you are able to, any donation at all would be ao appreciated, by me and my daughters and most of all by Puddin’.

Thank you x
PS Video and photos below so you can see just how adorable she is and how she has sadly declined so much recently. Update 21st August: I have also added evidence of vet treatment and costs so far.
