My name is Val, I'm a disabled trans man in Turkey. My hope is to be able to escape to Canada, start my transition, and get the medical care that I need.
I'm trapped in the closet, with no legal or familial protections, struggling to survive. It is not safe for queer and trans people in Turkey, and I can't sit around waiting for it to get worse. If I can get a student visa to Canada, I can apply for residency once I finish my degree. I just need to cover the first year of university, a plane ticket, and the first year of housing. I can handle it from there.
I've been struggling with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for my entire life. Once I get to Canada I can get a wheelchair to alleviate my chronic pain. I also have ADHD, DID, BPD, and ARFID. Struggling with debilitating dysphoria and high levels of suicidality, I can't find a therapist here that isn't a raging transphobe, much less a specialist in my highly stigmatised disorders.
I have dreams of having a family one day, starting a fashion brand with inclusive sizing, and making fashionable disability-wear. But all of that is impossible when I'm stuck in survival mode. I just want to be free. It would completely change my life if you could donate any amount, even a single dollar towards my goal.
All I want is an opportunity to live as myself and access the medical care I need. You would be genuinely contributing to saving a life.

This one's a good one to start with, but PinkNews has written various articles about Turkey which I'm very thankful for.
