Prince has been an essential and valued member of our family for 9 years (since I was ten years old!).

Despite his diagnosis with hip dysplasia at the age of 3, he still exercises daily (with the help of medication) and plays ball in the evening when everyone is home from school and work.

On Wednesday, August 13th, he was playing as he usually does when suddenly we heard a yipe!

His leg completely gave out and he refused to put any weight on it. We scrambled in confusion and worry about what we should do. He didn't show any immediate signs other than not putting any weight on it and hopping to move from place to place.

We took him to the vet and discovered he has torn his ACL.

He needs an operation that could be $7000! This dog is the last piece I have of my biological mother who passed away in January of 2018 (we got him in 2016 when he was only four months old as showcased in the photos). He is all I have left from that era of my life and I beg you for your help as we live and struggle to keep our two-bedroom apartment as it is. If you can even share it and have it circulate, it would be appreciated! This dog is my best friend and I know he has many years left in him. I don't want him to live suffering without the ability to walk and continue to enjoy playing ball again. I will continue to update, thank you!
