Potato, our dear 6 year old lab, is in the hospital with paralysis and Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP) potentially from a tick-borne illness. Her medical bills are over $10,000, and the hospital she’s at, Maine Veterinary Medical Center, requires us to pay the balance immediately. We’ve been able to come up with over $5,000, but we’re looking to our community to help with the balance. We need the funds ASAP to ensure she continues getting emergency care. Potato is the oldest sibling to Goober, Mr. Pickles, Mayhem and Egbert, and all of us are distressed without our family “therapy dog” around and healthy. We hope with the right care, recovery will be a while but at least possible. Thank you.
