Our beloved Porkchop has fallen sick this week. We're not sure what exactly is wrong, but something is attacking his red blood cells and killing them, leaving the poor little guy severely anemic at the current moment.

This little trooper loaded himself up yesterday and spent all day at the vet doing a myriad of blood tests, shots, and fluids to the tune of $800 and some change. It's very possible that he will need a blood transfusion or two, costing several thousand dollars a piece. He's 5 years old, my wife's best friend, and one hell of a kitty. I refuse to only let him have 5 years with my wife and his siblings because of lack of funds. We will be doing everything we can to get him healthy again.

Anyone who knows my wife and I knows that we are pretty private people who work hard and usually are the ones helping instead of asking for help, but this time I am asking for a hand in helping save one of our best friends. I'll do whatever it takes to get Porkchop the help he deserves regardless of the donations, but we would be forever grateful for any and all help along the way. He is such a sweet sweet kitty, my Wife calls him our little nurse kitty. Whenever any one in our household feels under the weather he will lay with them for hours purring and making his little biscuits, anything he can do to help out and make them feel better. He's been such a blessing to our little family and a huge help to my wife with her anxiety, the definition of a truly selfless character, and now its our turn to give back to him and get him the help and treatment he so desperately needs. Any funds that are received will go towards his mounting vet bills. Initial exam and bloodwork with medication cost about 820$ and his blood transfusion last night was over 900$. From the donations so far we have come a long way to helping him out and continuing any further testing or treatments for him which means the world to our family. He's such a great and caring cat we are looking forward to getting him healed up and back to being a happy healthy kitty with many years ahead of him to love life. We absolutely refuse to let our porkchop go without giving our absolute best to him.
