Save Poppy: Urgent Funds for Hospitalization

Hello, my name is Olivia Alvarado. 2 to 3 months ago, my cat, Poppy, a quiet yet feisty cat, had his first surgery ever. He had swallowed a thin clear string that prevented him from eating for 3 weeks and the vet couldn't find the problem until they finally decided to check his mouth, which they hadn't done before. After his first surgery, recovery was slow and when things seemed to be doing okay, his incision got infected. Badly. He ended up needing a second surgery, this one more dangerous than the first as the infection spread terribly. However, he rallied and pulled through. His incision healed properly. But unfortunately now, we're faced with yet another problem.

Because Poppy used to be overweight and because he suddenly stopped eating for such a long time, his body started to feed off of his fat, which his liver couldn't handle. His liver is now suffering as well as he.

This gofundme is to cover a possible hospitalization for Poppy. At the moment, we're giving him all the prescribed medications we have, however it can only do so much. Financially, we cannot cover the cost of hospitalization and if we can't do that, we risk having to put him to sleep. Although I'm not my cat, I don't think that he wants to go as much as I don't want him to go. I want to do everything I can to help my baby.
