Save Polly and her Kittens from a life on the streets

Hello all, my name is Tina and over the years my husband and I have rescued many many cats. We did stop fostering and rescuing as we currently have 14 Cat of our own, but you never really stop.

We were informed about Polly by a close friend.

Polly was dumped as her owners decided to move and not take her with them. I am unsure how old she is but at a guess I would say 3 years old.

Polly for the past 1.5 years has lived on the streets and as she has not been spayed you can only imagine how many litters she has had.

12 weeks ago she has a litter with only on surviving kitten- fast forward to the start of July she gives birth again to 4 kittens behind a neighbours fence panels, sadly one didnt make it and was laying dead next to her.

No one has manged to ever trap Polly to get her spayed or reintegrated back in to a loving home.

Fast forward 13th July I manged to trap her and the 3 alive kittens with the help of our friend and his neighbour who both have been feeding Polly for the past year.

I can not in my heart not help a cat in need so since Sunday 13th July she and her babies are living in my home, until Cats Protection can take her.

Polly is not feral she is an absolutely beautiful tortoise tabby cat and her 3 kittens are a dream.

Last Night Monday 28th July I called Cats protection as they have failed to call me to get an update on when Pollys permanent foster home would be coming available?

Well with the long 15 minute conversation I had with the representative I am disgusted in her response. Ohh they want the kittens her words " shame they are only 3 weeks old as we would take them now and put mom back on the streets as she is use to it"

Pardon!!! Cats protection want Pollys kittens as they are Blue in colour so would be very popular and easy to rehome and make money off but they would spay Polly , sorry give me a voucher for me to get her spayed and then tell me to release her back to where she roamed.

Every month I send money as a subscription to Cats protection as I really believed they put the cats first. This woman belittled me on the call, when asking questions on how long has I been feeding her i answered for her to ay " No you clearly dont understand my question do you"

When I told her I took Polly in as I could not allow her in the heatwave we had to live with kittens behind a fence they would die. And poor Pollys body would possibly shut down due to multiple births after each other she told me I shold of just left her and just feed her when she was seen.

I have 14 cats of my own and most are the unwanted and unloved . I will not allow Polly to become a Victim to Cats protection greed or her kittens.

This is where I need your Help..... I have an idea if I get a summer house and cat enclosure I have enough space in my garden. My Husband is very handman and will install heating insulation and electricity so that Polly can live her best life now knowing that cats protection rejected her as she may hiss or may be scared or may not believe a human can be nice again. But remember they want her Kittens only!!!.

So if you can spare £1 towards the goal we can ensure the Pollys of the cat world are loved are looked after and DO MATTER.

I am also considering becoming a " Cat retirement" home too as everywhere is full of unwanted cats who just want a lap and a kiss and cuddles, I promise I will dedicate my time helping them all.
