Everyone that knows me knows I am a crazy dog lover and have 6 rescues of my own, I do everything I can to give these pups a good home. Animals are like family, they arent accessories that you get get rid of just because you are going through difficulties.
Each one of my pups had a troubled past or were at risk of being put down at a kill shelter. Sometimes the bills add up but I never asked for hand outs.
Enter Mr Pollo, he's everyones favorite out of my dogs!
He was going to be put down by his previous owner just for barking/snapping at a kid that tried to take his toy. I fell in love with him and stepped in and saved his life.
He recently had an intestinal blockage that required extensive surgery, he lost 40lbs in 1 week, and had to have a large section of his intestines removed, the Drs thought he wouldnt make it and recommended putting him down but I wanted to give him a chance since hes always shown himself to be a fighter. And he pulled through. :)
He's really strong and was recovering well but had some some complications this past week and is back at the clinic today I'm tapped out and cant even get more financing for his care.
His first Surgery was just under $8k!
Luckily the clinic worked with us and allowed payments since my roomate works there.
But todays treatments are adding on a lot and I need to make a substantial payment to be able to continue his care.
I 100% don't believe in putting pets down just because they are sick or weighing on your pockets, they are family to me, I want to give him every chance at life that I can and I know he can recover if I can cover some of his medical bills, I'm looking to raise at least $4000 to cover half of his previous bill so that the hospital will continue his care.
If you cant help please share. As always every cent counts!
The prognosis looks good, hes had GI studies today and its possible to save him!
Reach out to me directly if you can help in different ways or want to ask me any questions.
