Plotz was adopted by a Staff Sgt. (he prefers to remain anonymous) of the US Army in 2024. They quickly became best friends. Plotz helped to fill the void left when a soldier leaves his family to serve his country.
Recently, Plotz was diagnosed with fluid in his chest cavity as a result of infection or trauma. After procedures and antibiotics costing over $3k, Plotz is still breathing laboriously. The vet now thinks he may have a foreign object in his lung. He will need a CT scan to verify and possibly surgery to remove it. A CT scan is around $3k, and surgery would be an additional $2k-$3k.
After saving Plotz last year by adopting him, his “dad” is now faced with mounting bills to save him again. Unfortunately, the US Army, while a noble job, doesn’t afford his dad the luxury of this kind of money, and he is faced with some very tough decisions. Let’s please come together and help this young man keep his best friend living a long and happy life.
