My name is Traci, and I have been volunteering for this amazing rescue for the past few years.

Pit of Our Souls (a Long Island, NY foster-based rescue) is nearing closing its doors and needs our help!

Time and time again, I have witnessed this group rescuing dogs from impossible situations. Dogs put in garbage bags and thrown in the literal trash, dogs surrendered by their owners in grave condition because they just didn't want the commitment anymore, dogs dumped and tied to poles on major highways, dogs with health issues brought in for euthanasia... Pit of Our Souls NEVER turned their backs on these dogs like their owners did. These women (and men) are inspiring. I have never seen such fight, determination, love, and unrelenting dedication to a cause. It's our turn to help them!
