Save Picnic Studio!

Picnic is a tattoo studio located in the heart of Bristol, in Hamilton House. Since opening, it has been more than just a studio; it has been a home and a safe space for so many people, especially the queer and trans community. Run by trans artist Billy Martin, the studio host a team of queer resident and guest artists.

For the past year and a half, Picnic has been a place where people could feel seen, celebrated, and safe while expressing themselves through art. However, like so many small businesses, we’ve been hit hard by the cost of living crisis. After months of struggling to make ends meet, we made the heartbreaking decision to close our doors.

But since sharing the news, we’ve been overwhelmed by hundreds of messages from people devastated by the closure. These messages have shown us just how much Picnic means to our community, and we’ve realised we can’t give up without trying everything possible to keep this space alive.

After recalculating our finances and creating a new plan, we believe we can stay open—with your help. This fundraiser will provide the financial boost we need to cover rent, supplies, and other essential costs, giving us the breathing room to rebuild and continue offering a safe, creative space for everyone who needs it.
