Help Save Pepper and Build a Wildlife Sanctuary

Pepper, a beloved raccoon in Montréal, Canada, has formed an unlikely bond with her human companion, Louka Berman. But now, their story has taken a heartbreaking turn.
Wildlife agents have come to Louka’s residence with a warrant with the goal of seizing Pepper and euthanizing him.
Due to Québec’s temporary ban on transporting raccoons across cities, Pepper can’t be legally sent to a sanctuary.
We believe Pepper deserves a chance at life.
The goal goes beyond saving one raccoon. We hope to raise funds to protect Pepper and work toward establishing a safe, compassionate wildlife sanctuary in Montréal, providing appropriate care and refuge for animals in need, including raccoons, squirrels, stray cats, pigeons, coyotes, chipmunks, and other vulnerable wildlife.
A portion of the funds will go towards Louka and his legal battle with the ministry of environment.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Pepper a future and building something that could help many more animals.
