My name is Adam, and this fundraiser is for the veterinary needs of my family's 3½ year old cat, Pebbles, who recently came down with a potentially fatal disease, Feline Calicivirus (FCV).

She has been to multiple vets who could only give her temporary relief from her symptoms, with costs already well above what my family can afford.

I am asking for funds to help with further veterinary costs as we help her get through this, and possibly for the future as well, as this disease can become chronic with the symptoms returning in random flare-ups.

Calicivirus is a serious, potentially chronic disease with no cure and a variety of possible symptoms. In Pebble's case, the disease is mostly presenting as sores/lesions in her mouth and throat.

Due to the pain that these sores cause, she is unable or refuses to eat or drink on her own, and her health is declining quickly.

My family and I have been doing our best to give her the food and water she needs through a syringe, but this is very hard on her, and on us. Its clear that this isn't sustainable.

Within a few short days, she has gone from her usual hyperactive, attention loving self; to a lethargic mess. She could very possibly die if we cant take her in for the meds and fluids that she desperately needs.

I really hate having to ask for money for any reason; but my precious little baby's life is on the line and I'm desperately trying everything I can to get her healthy and happy again.

I love her so much and I dont want to see her go like this.

So please, any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
