I'm Lauren, but this isn't about me. This is about my sweet boy Parker. The goofiest chocolate lab you'll ever meet, but if you have met him, you know you have the silliest 4-legged friend for life. I have had Parker since he was a baby. A little chocolate chip!

Parker, in his 6 (almost 7) years of life, has been pretty good about not doing too much damage to himself or the house we live in! The other night, Parker decided to tear apart some couch cushion covers and eat them. In hopes he'd simply throw them up or pass them, my greatest fear hit when he started acting lethargic, stopped drinking water, and stopped eating. So here we are, at the emergency vet. A place I never want to be. Parker has fabric wrapped around his stomach and intestines and time is of the essence. I’ll have this up for maybe another day before there’s nothing else I can do. This is so difficult. Especially as I just got back on my feet and started my new job. I love this dog and I'd break my own back to make sure he's taken care of, and this time... I am helpless. I need help and I am at my most vulnerable asking for it. Not for me but for the best friend these last 6 years.
