My name is Samantha, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart for help with my sweet dog, Panda. On September 4th, around 8:30 p.m., I rushed Panda to the Advanced Animal Emergency hospital on 21 Mile. I went in believing I was going to have to put him to sleep because he was suffering so badly. The initial cost to do so was over $400—money I had set aside for my rent, which was due the next day.
When the vet came in, he told me he didn’t believe Panda had parvo and that he still had a very good chance of recovery if we tried another route. Of course, I couldn’t give up on him. I chose to fight for Panda, even though it meant using the rent money. With medications and care, the cost quickly added up to over $400 that night, and I now face additional vet visits and expenses as Panda continues treatment.
Right now, Panda is down to 36 pounds (he was over 40 pounds just a week ago). He is still not doing well, and I have to bring him back for rechecks and more care, which is going to cost even more money that I simply don’t have.
I don’t like asking for help, but this situation has left me with no choice. I used the money I had for rent to save Panda’s life, and now I am struggling to cover both his emergency medical bills and our home expenses.
Every single donation will go toward Panda’s ongoing vet care and helping me recover what I lost from using rent money that night. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing Panda’s story. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this very difficult time.
