My son Edward and I lost our home in the Palisades fire… along with his school, my office, our dogs, and everything else that defines a life. The one thing that came with us into this new life was lessons with Jy. However, she recently shared that she may have to close the school because most of the students can’t afford instruments and lessons as they attempt to rebuild. This is when Edward and I decided to start this campaign.

Jy Gronner has been teaching the magic of music for 20+ years. She opened Palisades Music School in 2012. Due to the devastation of the Palisades community, Palisades Music School is facing closure. Most of Palisades Music School’s students lost their homes, school, and communities — and have had to stop lessons for financial reasons.

Now, more than ever, these children need the structure, support, healing, and sense of confidence and accomplishment that music lessons so consistently give them. We are raising money to offer scholarships to the many students who need financial assistance to remain in lessons. 100% of your contributions will go directly to lessons for children who were impacted by the fire.
