Hi everyone,

Ozzy came in to our family in April this year and quickly stole our hearts. He was born with a congenital cardiovascular disease called persistent right aortic arch (PRAA). He was consistently vomiting after every meal, and every time would get worse and worse. He was quickly losing weight and didn’t have the same energy he used to, even as a very young puppy. We tried switching his kibble to smaller pieces, tried wet food, puzzle feeders, etc. and nothing seemed to work. We took him to the vet and through X-rays found out he had PRAA. We had 2 choices: a $10,000 surgery, or do nothing and have his quality of life decline and in so reducing his life span.

I know it is a very tough time for everyone financially and a very humbling experience to have to ask for help in a situation like this. We have taken out loans, opened CareCredit accounts and have ultimately exhausted our financial options. Any amount someone is able to donate is appreciated, or even just a share to reach a larger audience. We hope we are able to schedule his surgery soon.

We have followed up with cardiologists and surgeons to ensure he is strong enough to go through a surgery like this. Because he is so young, they believe he is able to bounce back and that is all we can really hope for him. To help him live his life a little easier.
