I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart and asking for your help during one of the most difficult moments of my life.

A few days ago, I came home to find that my cat, Pitoco, had tried to crawl under the bed and tore a large piece of skin from his back. The injury left the skin loose and exposed, and he urgently needs stitches to heal properly.

The first vet I went to quoted me $1400 for the procedure, an amount I simply couldn’t afford. When I told them I didn’t have the money, they said the only alternative would be euthanasia. That completely broke my heart. Pitoco is not just a cat. He’s my companion, my emotional support, and my family.

Since then, I’ve been treating him with antibiotics and silver sulfadiazine cream to prevent infection, but unfortunately, the wound has already started to get inflamed due to hair getting inside it. That’s why the surgery is so urgent.

Thankfully, we found a vet willing to do the surgery for $800, and it’s scheduled for this Saturday.

This is his best chance to recover, but I can’t do it alone.
