Community Grounds is more than a coffee shop, it is a gathering space for a community to come together, to find common ground and new friends and support and belonging. In the last year we have seen so many of our Heights neighbors join us for story time and playdates, community connection events like Coffee with a Cop and Conversations with your Legislators. We've rallied together as a community to fight famine in Somalia and find a cure for diseases. We've had lots of laughs with trivia and gone deep in serious topics of racism. Every day we see amazing connection with the people of this city from moms that need a place to bring their kids while things at home are tough to people fleeing domestic abuse to new refugees in this country looking for a way to connect, daily people walk through our doors and find caring people that want to help.
As daily we have made an impact on this community, you have begun to call this place home and we have seen increased business and a loyal customer base emerge. Sadly, this has taken longer than the funds we began this venture with could hold out and now we face closure unless we can rebuild that capital.
