We’re Georgia Tech Women’s Water Polo — a student-run club of about 15 graduate and undergraduate students. On a campus known for its rigorous academics, our team gives students a place to stay active, build friendships, and discover (or continue playing) a sport we’re passionate about.

We practice twice a week and compete in over seven weekend-long tournaments each season, including events hosted by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) across the Southeast. These competitions happen about once a month and bring together collegiate teams from across the region. This season, we have a strong chance of advancing to the CWPA Southeast Division Championship — and we’re determined to represent Georgia Tech the best we can.

In past years, SGA funding covered most of our competition costs, including travel, hotels, and meals, as well as helping replace worn-out equipment. This year, during our transition from a registered student organization to the CRC Sport Clubs Program, our budget was cut nearly in half. Even with fundraising events, grant applications, and our own personal contributions, we’re still short. Without that, we won’t be able to attend most of our tournaments.

Women’s water polo is rare in the Southeast. We’re one of just two women’s CWPA teams in Georgia and one of seven dedicated women’s club teams at Tech. Founded in 2015 by women from the former coed GT Water Polo team, we’ve been working ever since to grow the sport here in Atlanta and make it accessible to players of all skill levels.

Every donation will help subsidize the cost of buses, hotels, rental cars, and game entries, minimize the cost out of pocket for our team and keep this sport alive at Georgia Tech.
