Save Our Home

Dear Supporters,

After enduring an abusive, toxic, and destructive marriage that affected both my physical and mental health drastically for over 35 years, I am now on the verge of losing my only home in less than two months' time. My ex-husband took a line of equity from the home many years back and used it for his personal stocks—and to start his new life with another woman. I found receipts from island vacations, luxury spas & nail salons, expensive designer bags, and the like in his office—places and items which I’d never desired, as saving for rainy days was my motto. Then my divorce left me with absolutely nothing but a deteriorating home with a mortgage I was removed from—I had no legal aid at the time. Since then, I’ve been trying to get back on my feet and keep this house for my children and grandchildren, but in totality, this has left me broken. I have sold all my precious valuables, consulted with countless lawyers who just wanted their money, and have worked tirelessly to get my matters a resolution. I love this home and have fond memories of my children, extended family and friends in these spaces.

I’ve spent so many nights distraught, crying, hoping and praying that things would work out in my favor to keep this home. I truly need your help, and any gracious contribution(s) you make will surely go a long way.
