Save Our Sam (SOS)

Our beloved Sam (Sammy) Taylor, needs your help!

Right now he is in the middle of the biggest fight of his life; battling Stage IV Esophageal Cancer. Some might see the frail state he is in, hear that daunting diagnosis, and think there is little hope. But those people don't know our Sammy. He wants to keep fighting, he is holding on tight to his faith, to hope and to miracles.

We have watched him recently overcome some incredibly difficult, pain-filled obstacles: pneumonia, acute kidney failure, and cardiac arrest - on top of his cancer. He is still malnourished because he can't eat real food or even use a feeding tube due to the location of the tumors in his digestive tract. But, in his moments of being awake, and with us, he still manages a smile and can be seen mouthing the words, "I love you."

We have just been approved to enter into a treatment program that is his best chance of survival, but they are not accepted by insurance and so the family will have to pay out of pocket. And Sam has been out of work now since November of last year, and has been in and out of hospitals in all that time, the family has completely depleted their resources.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to Sam's medical needs, AND his family; his wife Jackie and their (2) sons Matt and Adam. To them he is husband and father - to us, he is brother-in-law and uncle - to his sweet adoptive mother Miss Emily, he is her baby boy - and to countless others, he is a friend.

Sam is compassionate and kind, gracious and loving, loyal and strong, and his family means everything to him. The time to act is now, to get these life-saving treatments started.

Please help in any way you can - and please help to spread the word of this cause like wildfire. The more reach we have, the better chance we have of saving him.
