Save our Safe Space - Atomic Allure

Save our Safe Space!

For many in Oakland and the Bay Area Atomic Allure is not just a small business, it is  owned by a Black woman, it is a community full of beautiful reflections.  Atomic Allure is a space, a safe space, where we can be ourselves, where we can venture into scary places within ourselves alongside nurturing community through the art of Pole Dance.  This Space is in need our your help.

If the Covid-19 pandemic and the movement for the liberation for Black lives have taught us anything it is that a safe community is one that comes together, a loving community is one that protects each other and an intact community is one that supports one another.  With the continued closures and no definite open date set by Alameda County, we are in need of your help to sustain our community safe space. We are raising funds to cover the bare essentials of rent and insurance through our closure. Through the past few months, we have offered free and donation-based classes with all the proceeds going to our instructors to help with living expenses. We are hoping we can open our doors soon as we know the energy in the space and dance and movement are therapy and essential right now as we fight for real change in our community and nation.  Anything you can give will help or if you are unable to give, sharing the link to show support.   We will continue to do whatever we can, applying for aid, offering free classes, support groups, and whatever else we need to to keep our community together.  Anything you contribute will not only be held in so much gratitude but will ensure that once we can gather again we will have a location to return to.

In deep love and solidarity,

Atomic Allure

P.S if you are a student or have been a student and decide to donate, please leave your testimony in your donation.  If it were not for our instructors and students we would not be here.

About us
Atomic Allure opened its doors in 2012 in Downtown Oakland, CA. It was the first pole studio in Oakland as well as the first black owned studio in the Bay Area. AA’s main mission was to create a safe space that was empowering, nonjudgemental and welcoming of womxn from all different backgrounds. Though we are womxn focused we welcome she, her, he, him, they, them, and everyone in-between. It has always been important to remain accessible financially in our community and we still remain the lowest priced pole studio in the Bay Area. Our staff and students through the many years have helped create a community second to none and we have formed so many life long friendships and connections. We have remained active in the community in events such as Oakland Pride, So Oakland, National Night out w/ Mocha Moms, Food Drives, Survivors of Breast Cancer, CSUEB, San Jose City College, First Fridays Oakland, Harlem Globetrotters, ROOTs, BAWs, and many more.
