Hello, I am Majd, a 21-year-old resident of Gaza. In the midst of what should have been a typical day heading to university, the stark reality of life in Gaza presented itself in an entirely different light.

Since the onset of October, my existence has undergone a profound transformation. Enduring four months of relentless conflict, I have witnessed the loss of dear friends, the destruction of my home, the disruption of my education at university, and even the collapse of a business venture I had recently initiated.

Yet, amidst these trials, one experience is the one that burdens my heart the most: the battle my mother, Ihsan, faces against cancer. At 40 years old, she grapples with a malignant tumor in the nasopharynx, a relentless adversary that respects neither age nor dignity. Scheduled for a crucial MRI imaging on the 8th of October following a rigorous course of chemotherapy, her hope for treatment beyond Gaza's confines was crushed by the rigors of occupation.

Her thoughts are entirely consumed by the tumor, inflicts unbearable suffering, leaving us grasping for even the most basic forms of relief, which are quite limited in our besieged zone

In the face of such adversity, we humbly appeal for your support. Donations received will be directed towards my mother's medical care, covering the expenses of her treatment, the necessary travel arrangements for her and my family, as well as the rebuilding of our shattered home.
