Save our horse Leucon from Melanoma Death

¡Hola a todos!

Mi nombre es Paulina Morales, quiero compartir con ustedes la historia de mi caballo lusitano de nueve años que tiene un corazón enorme y es muy sensible. Lamentablemente, desde muy joven ha estado luchando contra melanomas, y actualmente tiene comprometido toda la zona del perineo y su cola, es una enfermedad que, si no se trata, irá afectando su calidad de vida cada vez más. Si no realizamos la operación, lamentablemente no terminaremos en un buen camino.

Hemos tenido la oportunidad de contactar a la clínica Equitom, que se especializa en estos casos y está comprometida a ayudar. Ellos son especialistas de Bélgica y están trabajando para desmentir la idea de que los melanomas no se pueden operar. De hecho, se comunicaron con nosotros para confirmarnos que el caballo está en condiciones de ser operado, lo cual es un avance importante en la ciencia y la medicina equina. En la operación, que se realizara en Uruguay también estarán participando veterinarios uruguayos, lo que les permitirá aprender estas técnicas y que seria la primera vez de poder realizarla en Uruguay.

Nuestro objetivo es alargar la vida de este gran compañero, y para ello necesitamos reunir fondos para cubrir los costos de la operación. Por eso, les pido a todos los que sientan un llamado en su corazón que nos acompañen en esta causa.

Cualquier aporte, por pequeño que sea, será enormemente apreciado y marcará la diferencia en la vida de este caballo tan especial.

Hello everyone!

My name is Paulina Morales, I want to share with you the story of my nine-year-old Lusitano horse who has a huge heart and is very sensitive. Unfortunately, from a young age, he has been struggling with melanomas, and currently, the entire area of his perineum and tail is affected. This is a condition that, if left untreated, will increasingly affect his quality of life. If we do not proceed with the surgery, unfortunately, we will not end up on a good path.

We have had the opportunity to contact the Equitom clinic, which specializes in these cases and is committed to helping. They are specialists from Belgium and are working to debunk the idea that melanomas cannot be operated on. In fact, they reached out to us to confirm that the horse is fit for surgery, that will be in Uruguay operated, which is an important advancement in equine science and medicine. Veterinarians from Uruguay will also participate in the surgery, allowing them to learn these techniques, It will be the first opportunity to perform it in Uruguay.

Our goal is to extend the life of this great companion, and for that, we need to raise funds to cover the costs of the surgery. Therefore, I ask everyone who feels a call in their heart to join us in this cause.
