My wife and I are facing foreclosure on our home after four months without employment for my wife in late summer 2025, along with an issue with the bank. We need to come up with $5,300 by October 2 to stop the foreclosure and keep our home.

I am trans, disabled, and an immigrant, and this situation has been incredibly hard on us. My wife and I both live with severe mental illness, and the stress of possibly losing our home is starting to affect our physical health too, making daily life even harder.

This home means so much to us. It was part of the estate after my father passed away, and it is not just a place to live. After moving to Pittsburgh, our neighbors and community have become our life here. If we lose this home, we truly could not afford to find another place to live.

How the funds will help:

• Cover the overdue amount needed to stop the foreclosure
• If more is raised, set aside a small emergency cushion in case things go bad again
• If there is still money beyond that, donate some to The Persad Center in Pittsburgh
