Our community has been embracing our live shows and our audience numbers are slowly increasing. Everyone who attends is surprised and delighted to discover a truly enjoyable event. Statements like " I didn't understand what I was coming to see but it was amazing."

This is so badly needed on the Northern Beaches and I need your help to keep it going. Please donate to the wellbeing of live performances on the Northern Beaches.

Since 1938, the Art Deco glow of the Collaroy Cinema has been a beacon on Pittwater Road. For over 85 years, it has been the backdrop of our community’s first dates, family outings, and Saturday afternoon escapes. As the oldest—and only—functioning historical cinema left on the Northern Beaches, it is a rare survivor.

But today, the Collaroy is at a crossroads.

My name is Christine (Northern Beaches Entertainment). I have been personally funding live performances to keep these doors open, but to truly save this "De Luxe" gem for future generations, I cannot do it alone.

The Opportunity: A Path to Permanence

We have an incredible opportunity to secure a significant grant that would safeguard Live performances and the theatre’s future. However, to qualify, we must prove our viability by increasing our schedule to 10 live shows per month. Northern Beaches Entertainment needs to raise funds immediately to bridge this gap and cover:

Essential Repairs: Preserving the aging heritage structure.

Production Upgrades: Professional sound and lighting to attract world-class talent.

Supporting the Arts: Ensuring fair pay for the performers and technicians who bring the stage to life.

Accessibility: Improving access so our elderly and disabled residents can enjoy the magic of live theatre comfortably.
