Hello, my name is Hamed Abdel Rahman, I am 22 years old, and I live in Gaza with my family of

8. I am the eldest, and it is my responsibility to protect them.

I study Computer Engineering at Al-Azhar University, and before October 7, we lived a peaceful life filled with love, dreams, and hope.

We had a home, a garden, laughter, and small victories we celebrated together.

But everything changed. On October 7, our lives were shattered. Our house was destroyed, our possessions lost, and we were forced to flee not once, but three times-seeking safety that did not exist. Nights were filled with fear, explosions, and the cries of children. I saw my little brother's terror, and it broke my heart.

At one point, I was trapped under the rubble of my grandfather's house. The rescue teams pulled me out first, but my grandmother died, and my sister was seriously injured.

We lost so much. yet we are still alive, clinging to hope.

Now, we live in a tiny tent in Deir Al-Balah, with barely food, water, or safety. Children are falling ill.

Universities are destroyed, including mine.

Dreams feel fragile, but I still believe in a better tomorrow.

To survive and escape this war, each of us needs $5,000 to leave Gaza. We have lost everything, but not our will to live.
