Through our crazy journey, we have trusted Cincinnati to stay behind us, and you have for a long time. With the current construction disruption on Court Street causing us to stop our operation, we must humbly ask for your help!
When COVID-19 hit the restaurant industry, Crzy Monk struggled to survive on our original location on Main Street. Once a popular lunch spot for downtown professionals and pre-show dinners, we were hit quite hard. We scraped together every penny that we had to pay our rent and base expenses, but our landlord asked us to leave that location – so we headed home to Court Street.
With the help of you, the city of Cincinnati and our loyal Cincinnati guests, we re-opened at 29 East Court Street, where we can maintain a Crzy Monk passion and existence, with the high hope of the area's success. Then, another challenge came! The massive construction for future Court Street Plaza has hindered access for dine-ins, pickups and deliveries. We simply can not generate business. With that, we have decided to close our operation temporarily until the construction is completed.
Just like our inspiration, the crazy Monk, we dare ourselves to ask Cincinnatians, our friends, and our family to help us to hold onto our location, retaining our staff and paying rent and basic expenses (yes, we still need to pay rent, and utilities during construction!) We have great hope for the new, redeveloped Court Street but we need to survive until then. We want to feed you great food and spread Asian Food culture in Cincinnati. We humbly ask for your help for your donation!
