ISKCON Goloka Farm: Help Protect Our Cows

Here, every cow and bull receives lifelong care and protection. Our responsibility is not only to provide food and daily care, but also to give the herd a safe, dry and secure home for years to come.

Nearly 30 cows and bulls receive lifelong care and protection at ISKCON Goloka Farm.

Today, we are asking our friends, families and the broader ISKCON community to help us take the next important step.

❤️ Phase 1 Goal: $200,000

We are focusing this campaign on several practical improvements that will directly benefit the cows and strengthen the farm infrastructure that supports their care.

Your support helps Goloka Farm continue providing lifelong care and protection.

Our Main Priority: Expand the Existing Cow Barn

Our biggest Phase 1 priority is to extend the existing cow barn by approximately 25 × 60 feet, adding about 1,500 square feet of covered space.

We are not building an entirely new cow barn.

Instead, we want to expand and improve the barn already serving the herd, giving the cows additional covered space while making better use of the existing structure.

Daily care continues while we work toward safer and more durable farm infrastructure.

Phase 1 will extend the existing cow barn by approximately 25 × 60 feet, adding about 1,500 square feet of covered space.

Our first major milestone:

Work toward having the cow barn extension roofed by January.

This timeline will depend on engineering, permitting, contractor availability, weather and funding progress.

Reinforce & Improve the Existing Cow Barn

The existing barn remains central to the daily care and shelter of the herd. Phase 1 will address priority reinforcement and interior improvements.

These improvements are intended to provide a safer, more functional and better-protected environment for the herd.

Create More Secure Space

We also plan to install approximately 100 feet of new fencing, extending roughly 20 feet outward from the existing fence line.

This will provide additional secure space and improve the safe movement and management of the herd.

️ Improve the Farm Access Road

Reliable access to the farm is essential for feed deliveries, animal care, volunteers, equipment and emergency access.

The planned road improvement includes:

A 2–4 inch rock base

⅝-inch gravel

Stabilization mats on top

The current planning estimate for this portion of the project is approximately:$25,000

Where Will the $200,000 Go?

Our Phase 1 fundraising goal is $200,000.

Donations will support:

✅ 25 × 60 ft cow barn extension

✅ Reinforcement of the existing cow barn

✅ Interior barn improvements

✅ Approximately 100 ft of new fencing

✅ Farm access road improvements

✅ Drainage and weather protection

✅ Engineering, permitting and related project expenses

Contractor estimates for several parts of the project are still being developed.

As engineering recommendations and contractor bids are received, we will update this campaign with more detailed project costs.
