Gravity & Other Myths need your help - Save 29 world famous artists from existential Corona crisis.
The Corona crisis has hit these 29 Australian talents hard. With their shows A Simple Space, Backbone and Out of Chaos, they were bringing joy and excitement to audiences around the world.
Maybe you have seen any of these breathtaking shows yourself, or were looking forward to see them this season.
The forced venue closures has put a stop to their tours and now the artists are back home and not only have lost all their income for this season, they also have to use their hard earned savings and looking for creative new ways to pay the bills and keep practicing their craft.
I’m working at a small agency in Berlin and am in charge of organising the tours for Gravity & Other Myths (GOM). Me and my colleagues feel responsible for the livelihood of these young acrobats and it pains us to see them in this situation. Since our own planned income has also vanished we have no way of helping them financially, which is why I’m starting this campaign.
The total value of lost touring this season exceeds already AUS$350,000, with more cancellations likely to come, but in order to secure the basic needs of the acrobats we need to generate AUS$35,000 per month.
We would be so grateful for your help. We don’t just plan on taking, but we will create something in return.
For donations of 50$ GOM will create a new video tutorial of their favourite tricks or partner exercise. For 100$ you can request a dedicated video for yourself, your kid, your spouse or parent from some of the most gifted (and good looking) acrobats in the world.
We will stay in touch with all donors and invite you to join our warm up, when our tour is reinstated for the next season and we come to perform in your country!
If everybody who loves GOM gives a little bit, we can give these incredible young artists a better perspective into the future in these hard times.
