Save our Children and our Environment

Donation protected
Without Social Development, we cannot achieve Environmental Sustainability and overcome Poverty.

MY PROJECT WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING :
*teaching kids how to read and write
*supplying books for kids and school materials
*encourage households to take more care of their pets and provide food for starved pets
*educate teenagers about effects of alcohol abuse, unsafe sex (Zimbabwe is also one of the African countries with high HIV rate) and ensure that condoms are easily accessible to everyone.
*help poor parents send their kids to school (pay school fees for them if I can).

My name is Gloria Ndou, I am a 24 year old South African girl currently living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I came here for a cultural exchange program (au pair) for 12 months . I live with a lovely family and I assist them with childcare. I also study at an online university, University of the People,  towards a Computer Science degree.

I attached few pictures of the children and youth I met in the village. Please scroll down to read some of their stories (Permission to post these pictures was granted and I am in constant communication with some of them)

Mike is a 16 year old boy who dropped out of school because his single mother could not afford to pay for his fees. I payed for his school fees and bought him a bicycle to bike to school. Mike is back at school and happy.

MEET AIFHELI (PICTURE BELOW)

Aifheli is a 19 year old girl who got married to escape poverty.
Like most teenagers in the village she stopped going to school when she was 13, lived with different families helping them with housework in exchange for shelter and food.

Aifheli now lives with her husband and his grandparents. They help them take care of their small farm by growing vegetables and taking care of their livestock.

AIFHELI'S HUSBAND (26)

MEET LINNET (22) AND HER 2 DAUGHTTERS

Linnet dropped out of school after she fell pregnant when she was 16 years old. She got married shortly afterwards and her husband works in a Farm in South Africa to provide for them.  She raises their daughters alone as the Husband is hardly present at home.

I cannot achieve all of this alone and I need your assistance to fund this project. Your donations will help me, travel around the rural area, buy second hand books for the children to read, buy school materials for them, pay for their school fees, buy school uniforms for those who do not have, buy food for the pets that are starved and mistreated, arrange youth programs and supplying condoms to the rural area.

Children are the future, we have to protect them, give them the opportunity to get knowledge. Children have creative and curious minds, with the right teachings,  guidance and support they will overcome the poverty faced in their area ,protect their environment , take care of the animals and hopefully develop the economy as well.

Please donate, even as little as $5 it will go a long way and share this campaign with friends and family who may be interested in donating.

Thanks for your time and donations.
