Hello, we are the Knutsons, a family of a 4-month-old daughter and two young cats. Recently, our 2-and-a-half-year-old cat, Slim Jim, had a tough diagnosis. Major damage to her knee, including arthritis and bone-on-bone contact in the joint. This is painful for her and uncomfortable, and left untreated, her leg will eventually become a “peg leg,” which, best case scenario, will greatly diminish her quality of life. Worst case scenario, the troubled leg may cause severe suffering and death if left untreated. The other option is surgery on the knee. We, like most people, do not have a lot of money lying around for surgeries for our pet.

We are just asking that some kind-hearted people would be willing to donate even one dollar or two, in order to help Slim Jim get the care she needs. As of right now, we do not know how much surgery will cost. We have enough money to cover the diagnosis and emergency vet visit that is in the picture. We would greatly appreciate any help at all that would allow us to pursue surgery for Slim Jim. I will update when we get an amount for surgery here as soon as possible.
