Save our Bird Sanctuary! We need your help
Donation protected
I honestly can't believe the Bird Sanctuary's constant disasters. It's heartbreaking. My name is Ravi and I have thrown in my normal job along with my best mate Alex to fight against bird extinction, in particular with rare Black Cockatoos. Since opening our Sanctuary we have accommodated lost, abandoned, surrendered, smuggled, orphaned and displaced birds that desperately need rescuing and consideration. Our journey to fight for avian conservation has been exhausting. We lost our conservation site in December 2024 due to habitat destruction and earth work at Orchard Hills, an impact from the new airport development. These changes meant we had to shut down immediately and pause all forms of sanctuary income. As a result we were on the edge of having to shut down the Sanctuary altogether and cease our critical conservation work.
With the generous help and unwavering support of our community we have teamed up to build brand new bird enclosures at Bargo. In order to save $300k in steel fabrication costs, myself and Alex decided to build the enclosures ourself (along with the help of our community) so that we could also afford the raw materials, tools, machinery and equipment needed to build the enclosures.
We are now 60% of the way there.
However on Monday night, a group of thieves cut chains and broke through fencing and robbed our community Sanctuary of all hand tools, power tools, industrial generators, ladders, materials and even our car (Mitsubishi Outlander) which had a variety of equipment and personal items in it.
Our community suggested that we put together a crowdfunding campaign. This is my first time putting this together and I really hope we can rally the funding we need to finish the remaining projects.
Your funding will help us:
• purchase tools and equipment
• purchase shipping containers to secure items
• pay for some assistance to help with fabrication
• pay for materials
• pay for cameras and security systems
Our sanctuary is unique and is genuinely thriving with passion to help a variety of birds that often get forgotten or deleted in the system.
I appreciate your time to consider donating to our campaign.
