Save Our Beloved Odin from Hypoglycemia

Odin needs some help right now!

for those who don’t know Odin, he is our 11 year old rescue. He is the sweetest soul to walk this planet. He gives nothing but love, all day everyday.

those who do know him, I don’t even have to describe him because you have had the pleasure of feeling the love radiate off of him.

Odin got into a package of sugar free gum this morning in the car. We didn’t think he would open a container- but he did. He ate double the toxic amount.

we rush to our regular vet and they immediately tried to induce vomiting. With no luck.

we were then transferred to VCA emergency vet hospital where Odin has been admitted into ICU.

it has been confirmed that he does have hypoglycemia from this.

we have never asked for help before, but we are told from all angles of our support systems- that it’s OKAY this time to ASK.

we are asking for some help paying for this.

our hearts are broken as we had to leave him at the vet in ICU, an hour from home.

our girls don’t even know yet. They will be crushed. We love our boy, more than we can put into words.

2:55pm update:

Vet called and odins blood glucose is responding decently to the medication. Unfortunately though, his liver enzymes have over doubled and they’re are concerned that Odin is headed for liver failure.
