Save Our Angel Baby Bentley
Bentley was born on March 24, 2020. He is currently a 9 month old mini Bernadoodle Puppy. Bentley was a graduation gift for my cousin Michayla. She is one of three children and he is one of three dogs in the home.
He literally became her shadow and brought new life and energy to this family of 5 and 2 other puppy siblings from day one. Unfortunately, Bentley ate a foreign object that caused him to have his first surgery 4 weeks ago. The object was successfully removed and during the healing process he ended up having to undergo a second surgery. The first two surgeries cost a total of $20,000. The next few days (week leading up to Christmas) brought more complications and back and forth visits to the animal hospital due to an ongoing fever and a lethargic pup who was totally not himself! Christmas Eve was ruined for this family when the puppy had to be transported back to the hospital because he could not even walk. After fluids, observation and a third ultra sound, a third surgery had to be scheduled on Christmas Day 12/25/20. The family was faced on Christmas morning with making the decision to put Bentley to sleep or try for a third surgery to potentially help him. Given this impossible decision, the family could not turn their back on Bentley even though it came with financial burdens. Thankfully, we just received word Bentley made it through his third surgery and is expected to have to stay in the hospital for 7 days in order to recover because of the drain tube he needs to drain the excess fluid out of him. He will need to be watched very closely to make sure everything drains properly. The cost of this third surgery is expected to be no less than $20,000. The road to a full recovery will be a long one. Thank god he has his forever family to come home to and who is willing to do whatever is needed to keep this puppy alive! Please help to save this puppy’s life and help in this Christmas Miracle!
