EDIT: Armin is home. He’s wobbly, but he’s stable and ok and on some pain medication. The bill ended up totaling $2700. This vet place was a blessing as they discounted it down from 3500 for me. Armin came into our lives just a week ago, on July 6th. We found him hiding under our porch, so tiny he was trying to eat mulch to survive. The moment we picked him up, he captured our hearts.

Since then, Armin has become a lively, sweet, and loving kitten. But on Saturday, July 12th, during one of his energetic bursts, he ran under our feet and was accidentally stepped on. Our tiny 1.7-pound kitten was rushed an hour away to the nearest 24/7 emergency vet.

The impact crushed his small body, causing fluid to build up in his lungs. He was immediately hospitalized and is now fighting to recover under constant monitoring. The initial emergency visit alone was $3,000. If his condition doesn’t improve on its own, he may need an additional procedure to remove fluid from his lungs costing several thousand dollars more.

We’re doing everything we can to give Armin a chance at the long, happy life he deserves. He survived alone outside — now he deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for.
