My sister and I had the most incredible journey in the spring of 2024 when we visited far away Uganda, Africa, to love on and be loved by 35 amazing children from the most precious small private NGO orphanage run by our now good friend, Kabunga Umar. We were the first Westerners (whites) that had ever been seen by the majority in the entire area! Though foreigners by appearance, we became part of their family by faith! And now we all have the common goal of seeing these children fed, educated, loved, and taught the life-changing message of the gospel.

The director, Kabunga, founded African Street Kids Dream Orphanage, which is where and who these kids are... amazing, beautiful Africans rescued from the streets and now given the opportunity to dream. These kids are the poorest, happiest, godliest kids my sister and I have ever met.

Kabunga, who spent 7 years of his own life on the tough streets of Kampala, now works with his family and just a few volunteers to do an incredible work of loving, feeding, caring for, and ensuring these kids get to school! But, school in Uganda is not free there are mandatory school fees and their education is one of the key components to their well-being. While the children have mainly been in school, thankfully, they have unfortunately missed many days of school and even many meals because there was just not enough funds to go around for their well-being.

The reason we have set up this fundraising page is because their ongoing education and survival depends on outsiders like us to help these children get the food, love, and education they need.

Any donation you make will make a great impact. GoFundMe only takes 2-3% of all donations but of the 97-98% that we collect a 100% of that will be given to the orphanage. In addition, you can always Venmo, Cash App or Zelle direct for 100% donation but either way is just perfect! And no donation while still lifting up the orphanage in prayer is just perfect to!
